Kitchen Display System
A concept kitchen display system that routes orders from the POS to every station in real time.
A concept project: a design and prototype we created to show how we would approach this kind of business. It isn’t client work.
The brief
Many kitchens still run on printed tickets: orders get misread or lost between stations, and nobody can see which tickets are running late during a rush. We designed a KDS to solve exactly that.
The concept
The concept routes each item to the right station the moment it is rung in, shows ticket age at a glance with colour-coded timers, and lets cooks bump finished items with one tap. You can try a working version of the bump screen on our Kitchen display systems page.
What it includes
- Station and expo screen designs
- Order routing by item and station
- Real-time sync model with the POS
- Ticket timers and bump controls
- Interactive demo on the site
